MEET THE COACHINGÂ TEAM

ALEX CURRIE
Head Coach
Hi, my name is Alex and I’m the head coach at TCBC. I’ve been rowing for 10 years and coaching for four of them at various clubs and universities in the UK. I believe that rowing should be fun first, and thats what TCBC is to me. We have fun and learn to go fast whilst doing it. I’d encourage anyone at Trinity College to give rowing a go, so if you do have any questions feel free to reach out to me. We welcome all levels of experience and commitment here, so come on down and give it a go!

ROSIE GILES
Assistant Coach
Hi, I’m Rosie and I’m thrilled to be joining the Trinity College coaching team this year!
I began coxing at the age of 10 with Tralee Rowing Club — mostly because my mum was the coach and they were desperate! I spent eight years rowing and coxing with Tralee (a small, young club in south west of Ireland), before moving to the UK to study and row at Oxford Brookes University.
Rowing at Brookes has been a huge change, and I’ve learned so much more about both the sport and what it takes to support athletes in achieving their goals. I’m really excited to bring that experience to Trinity this season and help every athlete reach their potential!
