"We were known for an intense push at the start, which meant there wasn't a race we rowed where we got past thirty strokes. We'd have been blown if they held us off. But they never did. It meant that Trinity supporters waiting at the boathouse never got to see us in action, as we'd be done well before the Gut. On the last day, having got our fourth and final bump, we rowed down, drew up outside the boathouse and performed a glory start, so everyone could see how we'd done it."
