Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a naming ceremony for our new Janousek 2-/2x boat. She has been affectionately named the Gifford-Sears, in memory of Trinity College alumni, Roger Gifford (1973) and David Sears (1976), both of whom tragically passed away in the last two to three years. It is an absolute delight to name the boat after David and Roger, who both played such large roles within Trinity College Boat Club, being known as true leaders amongst their friends.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to the friends and family of David and Roger for kindly donating to the Boat Club in their memory, and for the naming of the boat. The continued support and generosity of all our alumni is what allows the Boat Club to continue operating, and we hope to continue making you proud of our achievements on the water.
