As you might expect, this has been a very challenging year for TCBC. Despite the circumstances we have been busy this term both enjoying water time and planning ahead for races hopefully taking place in 2021. Despite the ongoing pandemic TCBC has worked with British Rowing guidelines to provide opportunities for exercise, changes of scenery, and a chance to see familiar rowing faces for many members of college who continue to benefit from the boat club's training and community.
Over 48 hours (3pm Friday 8th January - 3pm Sunday 10th January) a group of TCBC members will be attempting to cover 1000km via cycling, running, and - of course - erging to try and raise money for the club. Updates will be shared over social media and workouts can be tracked via strava.
The funds raised will help the club to cover its running costs, including coaching, equipment etc. and contribute towards the costs of entering competitions and going on training camps, which will offer invaluable experience and help to build up the crews' confidence and skills.
Over £700 in lead donations has already been raised via our alumni for which we are eternally grateful, these donations were made via the Trinity College alumni and development office and if you prefer to make a donation this way you can do so by going to www.trinity.ox.ac.uk/giving-to-trinity and select ‘Trinity College Boat Club’ from the drop-down menu on the giving form.
